The Xbox One X has been touted as the most powerful console ever made, and Microsoft are keen to give us more and more reasons to prove it. It’s been announced that The Witcher II: Assassin of Kings, Fable: Anniversary, Forza Horizon and Crackdown will be getting Xbox One X support. Also, Crackdown is backwards compatible now, which has been a long time coming.
This announcement comes with the news that Xbox 360 games that have been enhanced for Xbox One X support will be given a new graphics setting, with players able to switch between the regular backwards compatible experience that can be found on Xbox One or One S, or the enhanced version that includes higher resolutions and up to 9x the original pixel count. Impressive stuff, to be sure. The full list of current Xbox One X enhanced games are below:
- Assassin’s Creed
- Crackdown
- Fable Anniversary
- Fallout 3
- Forza Horizon
- Gears of War 3
- Halo 3
- Mirror’s Edge
- Oblivion
- Skate 3
- The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings
Personally, I’m just happy to see Crackdown go backwards compatible, as it still remains one of the Xbox 360’s crowning jewels, and should be enough to tide us over whilst we wait for Crackdown 3. What do you think of today’s announcement? Sound off in the comments.
