Dotemu have revealed the first gameplay trailer for Windjammers 2, the sequel to Data East’s cult classic from 25 years ago that’s scheduled to launch on PC and Nintendo Switch in 2019. Check out the trailer below.
The new trailer features series veterans Wessel and Mita playing against new characters Grace and Max, along with showcasing new abilities such as the jump, the smash and the slapshot. The new hand drawn art style also gives the game an updated look while retaining the same hype gameplay that Windjammers has become legendary for.
In our Switch review for the first Windjammers, we said that “Windjammers is a totally unique and simple but enthralling game about competitive frisbee that feels right at home on the Switch”. We imagine that the sequel will offer more of the same when it launches later this year.
