Will Ospreay & United Empire Debut On AEW Dynamite

Smashing that door to smithereens.

One of NJPW’s top factions, the United Empire, made their huge debut on AEW Dynamite last night, staking their claim against FTR and Roppongi Vice. Will Ospreay led the charge to a huge reception, signalling for his tag-team brethren, Aussie Open and Aaron Henrae, to do some serious damage.

This all falls in line with the build towards Forbidden Door, where New Japan stars will compete for dominance against AEW’s roster. Ospreay and the rest of the United Empire will surely be involved in some sort of star-studded multi-man affair now that they’ve smashed through the Forbidden Door.

Fans of the former IWGP World Champion and his Aussie peers will know that the three of them make up some of the best wrestlers on the planet today. So there’s no surprise that so many AEW fans were buzzing to see them appear for the first time on US soil together. Previously, United Empire members Jeff Cobb and Great O’Kharn had already laid the groundwork for the rest of their stables’ arrival, assaulting FTR and Trent in similar fashion a few weeks back.

Ospreay, Davis and Fletcher will make their official in-ring debut on this week’s episode of Rampage, competing in a trios match against the ROH Tag champs and Trent. This is bound to be one you don’t want to miss.
