Fortnite‘s celebrations with Winterfest 2023 certainly haven’t been the best edition of Winterfest ever, with Crackshot’s Cabin not even a feature of the game this year. It’s certainly been a bit of a disappointing event all told, especially hot off the heels of Fortnitemares 2023 also being a bit of a dud, but it doesn’t last forever. If you want to collect all of the free rewards, you haven’t got much time.
Winterfest 2023 will conclude on Monday, January 2nd, 2024. You will not be able to earn any of the 14 free rewards (including Boxy and Bushranger) past this point and all of the Christmas theming will be taken out of the game. Every Winterfest is typically about this long. You also don’t need the Battle Pass for Chapter 5 – Season 1 to take part in Winterfest, and the season itself still has a lot of life left in it yet.
Winterfest is typically one of the most exciting events in the Fortnite calendar each year, with millions of players looking forward to seeing what presents Epic has given them as a thank you back to the community. While this year’s Winterfest may be the most basic one in many years, it’s worth remembering in mind that Epic has launched three basically brand new games within Fortnite as well as a completely new map, so they may not have had Winterfest as a focus this year.
Elsewhere in Fortnite, let’s figure out if we can fast travel in Fortnite LEGO and save our tiny little brick legs.
