Where to Watch Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny Online

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

Is Harrison Ford really hanging up the fedora and whip with the release of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny? Never say never, especially since the 2008 Kingdom of the Crystal Skull certainly felt like it would be the end, and that was 15 years ago. However, given that Ford is in his 80s, it seems more probable than anything else that we are indeed witnessing the swan song of one of the most iconic and beloved heroes in the entire history of film.

Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will be released to theaters the weekend of June 30th, 2023, and it will only be a matter of a few months from there before you can watch the movie online. The next question is where and how you’ll be able to do this.

When it comes to where you can watch Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny outside of theaters, we’ve got a few answers for you. Expect the movie to be in theaters for approximately 45 days. This is standard for a Disney release of this magnitude. Digital purchases or rentals will be available shortly after that window, so you’ll probably be able to rent or buy Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny in early August.

Since this is a Disney movie, it’s a certainty that Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will eventually be available to Disney+ subscribers. From this point forward, it shouldn’t take more than four months for the movie to go through theaters and digital rentals/purchases, before you’ll be able to watch the final adventure of Indiana Jones on Disney’s flagship streaming service.

For physical media fans, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny will almost certainly get a DVD/Blu-ray release of some sort. No official word on when that will be, but if Dial of Destiny stays the course for movies of its kind, you’ll probably be able to own a tangible copy in early to mid-August.

About Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny

Promising to be an adventure that harkens back to the excitement and intensity of the earlier Indiana Jones films, Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has an interesting plot.

The movie begins near the end of the Second World War, with Indy and a colleague fighting Nazis and trying to find a treasure known as the Lance of Longinus. That proves to be a dead end, but Jones and his fellow archaeologist (Toby Jones) wind up with half of an artifact known as Archimedes’ Dial.

Said to be part of a device that can detect fissures in time, which is great for anyone who wants to try time travel, the dial eventually becomes a focal point in the life of Indiana Jones some 25 years later in 1969. On the verge of retirement, and separated from his wife Marion (Karen Allen), a new adventure for the famed hero soon emerges when the goddaughter of his colleague Helena “Wombat” Shaw (Phoebe Waller-Bridges) shows up with a significant interest in finding the artifact that eventually drove her father mad. What follows is an Indiana Jones adventure in the classic sense of the idea.
