Crackdown 3

It feels like we’ve been waiting for Crackdown for a long time, but the X018 event last weekend finally saw the game receive a confirmed release date: February 15th, 2019. Not only that, but it was confirmed that the game will launch with a new multiplayer component called Wrecking Zone.

Though the mode’s debut trailer didn’t give us much of a look at the new mode, a new 45 minute video has surfaced from French outlet JfTV showcasing some direct capture footage of the game in action and it looks like it could be a lot of fun.

The footage above, which is all in French, features character and loadout customisation along with the signature Crackdown verticality and destruction. Some people might not like the fact that you can remain locked on to your opponent during intense firefights, but it looks like skilled players can use the Crackdown Agent’s abilities and environment to avoid taking damage.

Crackdown 3 will be available on February 15th, 2019 on Xbox One and PC, and will also be available via Game Pass. If you feel like reserving your hard drive space already, you can pre-load the game now.
