Valve have announced that they will be hosting the Steam Next Fest, a multi-day event that’ll feature a variety of developer interviews and exclusive game demos. The festival will take place from the 16th to 22nd June, right around the time E3 tends to roll around.

What’s The Steam Next Fest?

Steam Next Fest will likely follow a similar structure to Steam Game Festival, Valve’s occasional event that would see plenty of developer interviews, announcements and exclusive demos. The last Steam Game Festival took place in 2019. One was scheduled for last year, but due to the ongoing pandemic, the show was cancelled alongside the E3 it would have run beside.

With E3 hoping to host a digital event this year, Steam Next Fest running concurrent alongside would help to to showcase the depth of PC gaming, though it remains to be seen what kind of schedule and form the Steam Next Fest will take. Either way, expect to be swimming in PC demos this summer.
