Uplay Plus Launched Today, Already Has Issues

Stumbled at the first hurdle.

Uplay Plus

Uplay Plus, Ubisoft’s PC subscription service that offers access to the publisher’s vast library of games, has officially gone live, and it’s already having its fair share of issues. Users are reporting 404 errors when trying to access the official website, along with some issues regarding players being “charged” for the first month.

Players around the world are reporting issues actually accessing the Uplay Plus website, while players subscribing for the free month trial are reporting getting charged for the first month, despite the fact that the first charge should only occur in October. However, the Uplay Plus support page does state that they make a small authorisation to make sure that the payment method is actually valid.

The problems have reached the point that Ubisoft Support have issued a tweet to say that they’re aware of the litany of issues currently affecting Uplay Plus, with a post of the official Ubisoft forums outlining the known and resolved problems, along with some known workarounds for accessing Uplay Plus.

It wouldn’t be a gaming launch in 2019 without issues of some kind, but it seems like Uplay Plus is definitely going through its fair share. Have you experienced any of these issues? Let us know in the comments.
