Ubisoft Tease Rainbow Six Siege’s The Program

Big moves happening for Siege.

Ahead of a full reveal tomorrow, Ubisoft has shared an impressive CG trailer for a new addition to Rainbow Six Siege by the name of “The Program” as a Road to Six Invitational Event.

You can check it out below.

The description:

“Harry has gathered the very best Operators of the world, and they’re ready to prove their worth in the Stadium. For 5 weekends, you too can take part in the action as you play the Road to Six Invitational 2020 event.”

No deeper details on this one yet, but it looks like Harry “Six” Pandey, the guy behind the curtain of Rainbow, is putting together a squad to determine who the best team is in the organisation. They will compete in a previously derelict stadium, the teaser showing a montage of the various members of Rainbow training for the big occasion.

It looks kind of like the movie Dodgeball meets Siege, and I am very much here for it.

What kind of form “The Program” will take in-game remains to be seen, whether it will be a new multiplayer mode or something more catered to a single-player story. Ubisoft recently mentioned that they were working on more story elements for the game, so this may be it.

Whatever the case, it’s definitely an interesting time to be a Siege player. Hard to reconcile the game it was in 2015 with the massive, always evolving one it is now.

In other Siege news, it looks like the next yearly pass with feature two fewer Operators than usual.
