Turtle Beach Unveil New Elite Pro 2 Headset For PS4 & Xbox One

Elite Pro 2

Turtle Beach recently announced a new headset for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players that promises to offer some of the best audio on the console market with some interesting sounding customisation options that can be set from your mobile devices. Your granddad’s headphones they ain’t.

The Elite Pro 2 for PS4 and Xbox One has been designed in conjunction with eSports teams OpTic Gaming, Splyce, and the Houston Outlaws, to deliver the follow-up to the Elite Pro, which launched in 2016. The Elite Pro 2 will boast 50mm Nanoclear™ speakers alongside a removable mic that has Turtle Beach’s patented TruSpeak™ technology. The headset will also be customisable with deco plates with more to be announced on that front soon.

The Elite SuperAmp which accompanies the headset will allow gamers to utilise Windows Sonic for Headphones surround sound on Xbox One and DTS® Headphone:X® 7.1 channel surround sound on PS4. Using Bluetooth, players will be able to customise their audio as they see fit, which includes the all-important balancing of in-game and chat audio, as well as a variety of EQ presets.

If you attended PAX West, you may have been one of the first people in the world to try the Elite Pro 2 before it launches on September 16, 2018 in North America and October 8, 2018 in Europe. With an MSRP of £219.99, it looks like a step above the already pretty great Turtle Beach Stealth 300, so we can’t wait to get our hands on it closer to the time.
