Team17 and Trepang Studios have announced the supernatural first-person shooter Trepang2 today as part of Gamescom 2021.
What is Trepang2?
Trepang2 is a supernatural, hyper violent FPS wherein players control an amnesiac super-soldier who has received physical enhancements as they battle through a government black site to take revenge on the people holding them and come to unravel the mystery of the facility’s true purpose.
The gameplay trailer is full of visceral, frenetic violence and buckets of blood spraying out of enemies like burst water balloons. Team17’s press release promised that the game will feature both frenetic gunfights and melee combat, as well as supernatural abilities like slowing time, invisibility, and superhuman strength and speed to take down enemies. There will also be multiple game modes to go along with the single player campaign, including a horde defense, among others that have yet to be announced.
When Will Trepang2 Come Out?
Trepang2 is scheduled for release in 2022, and is being developed for Steam on PC.
