The Misfit of Demon Academy is an action and fantasy anime that started as a light novel written by Shu. The plot revolves around the reincarnation of a Demon King named Anos Voldigoad. 2,000 years ago, Anos sacrificed himself in a war between demons and humans. He hoped that, after his eventual reincarnation, the world would be at peace. Flash forward 2,000 years, and he does come back, but history seems to have been rewritten, and people remember him differently.

The second season will be a split-cour, meaning that it will be split into two parts, each part likely lasting 12-13 episodes. Another major change is that the lead voice actor is getting replaced. Anos’ voice actor, Tatsuhisa Suzuki went on hiatus with rumors of him having extramarital affairs arising. Anos is now voiced by Yuichiro Umehara.
What Is The Misfit Of Demon Academy: Season 2 About? (Spoilers)
The first season of The Misfit of Demon Academy ended with Anos finally defeating Jerga, the main conspirator who rewrote Anos’ history. This event happens at the end of Volume 3 of the light novels which have a total of twelve volumes.
Volume 4 will cover Anos’ retaking his rightful place as Demon King while a new threat arises from within the Demon King Academy itself. A new teacher, who turns out to be Anos’ old enemy, will come to the academy.
