Naughty Dog and Sony have shared more info about The Last of Us: Part II during the September 2019 edition of State of Play, namely the appearance of Joel and a release date of February 21st, 2020.

You can check out the new trailer below.

The sequel to the 2013 smash hit sees Ellie and Joel returning many years after the unforgettable finale of the first game. The theme of the game is “hate”, according to Neil Druckmann, and we’ve already seen plenty of evidence to suggest that Ellie is indeed on a bit of a mad one.

Press previews of the game are expect to go out this Thursday, September 26th to coincide with Outbreak Day.

The Last of Us: Part II will launch exclusively on PlayStation 4.
