Naughty Dog have announced that The Last of Us: Part II will be showcased during the latest State of Play on August 24th.
A simple video was used to announce the appearance, Ellie’s knife at the forefront with a quote from the very first reveal trailer for the sequel as the accompanying text.

There appears to be some audio, yet it’s incredibly quiet and difficult to make anything out.
The timing is apt, considering that Outbreak Day is on the 26th of September each year. Outbreak Day is a celebration of all things The Last of Us and usually features new merch and freebies for fans. Its date reflects when the Cordyceps virus spread in the TLOU universe.
The new State of Play is slated to run for 20 minutes and will include “new game reveals, new content from PlayStation’s Worldwide Studios, and a host of other updates”. We already know TLOU will be there, so it will be interesting to see what else pops up. Perhaps Tshushima?
State of Play will take place on September 24th at 1PM PT across PlayStation’s YouTube and Twitch channels. The Last of Us: Part II will be a PS4 exclusive.
