The Last of Us 2 Won’t Be At The Game Awards 2018

Naughty Dog have revealed that The Last of Us 2 will be skipping The Game Awards this year.

The Last of Us 2 Joel

Seemingly in an effort to quell any lofty expectations, Naughty Dog have today announced that they won’t be revealing anything from The Last of Us 2 (or The Last of Us: Part II if you’re pedantic) at The Game Awards 2018.

In a short statement, Naughty Dog said that they are excited for what’s to come at the show itself but won’t be sharing any updates on their next big game.

This may be a disappointment to anyone expecting something new from The Last of Us 2 with the game’s last outing of any kind coming at E3 2018. Since then, we’ve only seen art seemingly confirming Joel’s appearance in his own trailer soon with TGA being the last hopes for seeing it this year with the no-show at PGW and PSX not going ahead.

We can, however, expect to see something new from Death Stranding on the PS4 exclusive front owing to the friendship between Hideo Kojima and TGA’s Geoff Keighley. So that’s some consolation, right?
