If you’re still waiting for a reason to try Ubisoft’s looter shooter The Division 2, it’s been announced that a free trial will be available permanently on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, allowing players to get to grips with the game before making a full purchase. Curiously, the trial isn’t available on Stadia, but that’s another story altogether.

The trial is limited to 8 hours of play-time, with a max level cap of 8, so don’t go thinking you can finish the game for free without paying some money. On top of that, players will have to do without clans and the in-game store.

However, all the other features are available, including story missions, side missions, world events and more, all playable in solo and co-op, should you want to play with friends. As with pretty much all free trials, your progress will carry over to the full game once you’ve made the purchase. Will you be playing The Division 2? Let us know in the comments below.
