Bandai Namco’s latest installment in its long-running Tales JRPG series, Tales of Arise, recently surpassed over 1.5 million units sold, as reported by a tweet from the official Tales of Arise twitter account.

Tales of Arise Details

Tales of Arise, the first Tales game since 2016’s Tales of Berseria, follows a plucky group of warriors fighting to liberate the planet of Dahna from the oppressive colonizing kingdom of Rena. The band of heroes travel from region to region, liberating kingdoms from Renan rule and leading a passionate resistance against their oppressors.

Tales of Arise released to critical acclaim. Our review highlighted the exciting action-RPG combat, memorable character design and dynamic visuals, while questioning its pace and use of microtransactions.

Clearly the game has found an audience, as an NME report showed it was the fastest-selling game in the Tales series. Moving 1.5 million units in under two months is also an indicator of the title’s critical as well as commercial success. Hopefully this will mean it will take less than six years to get the next installment in the Tales series.
