Wales Interactive, developers of narrative experiences such as The Bunker, The Complex and Late Shift, along with horror hits like Don’t Knock Twice, have revealed that their next title, Maid of Sker, will be launching on PS4, Xbox One and PC simultaneously this July.
Announced back in 2018, Maid of Sker will take players to the Sker Hotel in 1898, as you try to navigate the halls and grounds, trying to survive the horrors of the hotel without a weapon. The game borrows heavily from Welsh folklore and British horror in general, as the Sker Hotel is based on the real-life Sker House in south Wales.
Maid of Sker was originally scheduled to launch next month, but according to the game’s director, Richard Pring, this delay “will enable Maid of Sker to launch simultaneously across digital and physical platforms, whilst also allowing for the team to fine-tune the macabre horror in Maid of Sker to its absolute-ly terrifying limits!” Are you excited for the potential of Maid of Sker?
