Konami have announced that Super Bomberman R Online, a previously Stadia-only exclusive, will be coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch soon. The game will also be playable on the PS5 and Xbox Series X | S. A release date hasn’t been revealed yet, but it’s coming soon and it’ll be free-to-play, so that’s good, right?
What Is Super Bomberman R Online?
Super Bomberman R Online, aside from being a really catchy title, is more of the same Bomberman action you’d expect. You’re plonked into a standard Bomberman grid, only this time it’s attached to 15 other grids, and 64 players compete to determine who’s the best at dropping delicate explosives and running away.
SBRO will be launching as a free-to-play game with crossplay as standard, but if you feel like throwing the game a bit of cash, the Premium Pack will contain a host of cosmetic items based on other Konami properties, along with the ability to host private games with your friends. All in all, this could be a bit of a hit now that it has the chance to find a proper audience.
