Street Fighter V: Champion Edition Includes Content Old And New

Launching next February.

Champion Edition

It wouldn’t be a Street Fighter game without a third version of the game for players to buy, and Street Fighter V is no different, as Capcom have announced SF V: Champion Edition, a brand new iteration that compiles nearly every single piece of previously released content and sticks a low price tag on the bundle.

Aside from content like the Fighting Chance costumes, brand collaboration costumes and Capcom Pro Tour DLC, Champion Edition includes every character, costume and stage from Street Fighter V and Arcade Edition. In total, that’s 40 characters, 34 stages and over 200 costumes, all for the low price of $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 when it launches on February 14th. Street Fighter V owners can also upgrade to the Champion Edition for $24.99 / €24.99 / £19.99, and that’ll allow you access to Champion Edition content as it becomes available before the launch date.

Said new content includes a brand new balance update, which launches next month and will be free to all players, that’ll re-balance character moves while adding a second equippable V-Skill on top of each character’s two V-Triggers, allowing for four potential loadouts across every character. That’s definitely one way to increase the amount of match-ups in the game.

The fun doesn’t stop there though, as Street Fighter III’s final boss Gill will be a playable character starting in December, though he will also be part of the Champion Edition bundle. Gill comes equipped with Pyrokinesis and Cryokinesis abilities, though thankfully it doesn’t appear like he’ll be able to resurrect if he gets K.O’d with full super meter. That move was a real pain in the neck to deal with. Check out Gill’s gameplay trailer below.
