One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows Launching In February

Say it with me now: ONE PUUUUNNNNNCCCCHHH!

One Punch Man

Bandai Namco have announced that One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows, the 3D brawler based on the popular anime and manga series, will be launching on PS4, Xbox One and PC on February 28th 2020. To celebrate the news, check out the announcement trailer below.

Of course, the trailer comes with a few reveals of its own, such as the new playable characters Metal Knight, Stinger and Melzagard, along with the introduction of events. These events will see powerful villains appear and change the fight, with the example in the trailer showing King freezing characters in place. The more powerful a character is, the longer they’ll be frozen, though of course Saitama will be unaffected.

Poor Mumen Rider.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows will allow players to create their own avatar and take part in a story mode that retells the events of the first season of the anime, as you attempt to climb the ranks and become an S-Rank hero yourself.  Pre-orders are live right now, and pre-ordering will unlock two new costumes for Saitama (his jersey and black suit outfits), along with Saitama masks for your created avatar.

You’ll also receive early access to Dream Saitama, a balanced version of the character that doesn’t just one-shot everyone on the roster. One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows uses a Hero Arrival System for Saitama, where players who pick him as part of their team will have to wait before he arrives to win the fight. Dream Saitama will instead be a regular character.

One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows certainly looks like it could be a real treat, which is why it’s featured on our biggest fighting games of 2020 list. Let us know if you’re excited for the game too in the comments below.
