The size and scope of Street Fighter 6’s World Tour mode might take some players off guard, as there’s a huge amount of quests, secrets and collectibles to find within the various areas of the mode. While most sub quests are pretty basic, there are a few, like Equivalent Exchange, that ask a bit more of the player. Street Fighter 6 World Tour – Equivalent Exchange
During Chapter 3 of World Tour, you’ll encounter a side character by the name Counterfeiter Leonardo, who will help you create a decoy bag to deceive the Mad Gear gang. This is also how you meet with Marisa, and allow her to become your master.
After you’ve created the decoy bag, speak to Leonardo again and he’ll offer you the Equivalent Exchange sub quest, sending you out around Metro City to find Rings, Cards and Pipes. These can be found by beating certain individuals in fights, with the whole sub quest acting as a tutorial on completing challenges mid-fight for extra loot.
Finding the items you need is tricky, as the game doesn’t immediately give you any indication as to where you can find Rings, Cards or Pipes. If you want the hints, you need to ask the man himself. Counterfeiter Leonardo will tell you where to go if you speak to him again, but most people will likely accept the quest and run off, leading you to search for the answers online instead. If that’s the situation you find yourself in, these are the locations to find the three items you’ll need to complete the Equivalent Exchange Sub Quest in Street Fighter 6.
Rings – Bayside Park, at the south end of Metro City. It’s the waterfront area that houses a heart statue.
Cards – Beat Square, in the east side of Metro City. It’s the Times Square-esque area you explore in Chapter 1.
Pipes – Chinatown, located to the west of Beat Square. It’s where you meet Chun-Li in Chapter 2.
When you reach any of these areas, you need to find citizens wandering around who are carrying these items as a challenge reward when you fight them. Simply go up to them and press Y/Triangle to reveal their details, and a list of rewards will appear. Challenge them to a fight by pressing X/Square, complete the task required of you and you’ll take your hard earned loot.
Grabbing pipes might be the biggest roadblock in this sub quest, as only a small section in the west side of Chinatown seems to allow pipe spawns to occur. You may need to leave and return to this area a few times, especially if you fail a challenge, as another NPC might not spawn for some time.
Once you’ve grabbed two of each item you need, head back to the counterfeiter on the Skywalk to complete the mission.
