As possibly the most popular franchise in the history of pop culture, Star Wars is huge. So big that it has a whole world of jettisoned canon to explore, terrible Christmas specials, and more awful merchandising that you can shake a pimp-purple lightsaber at.
But it’s all about the movies, when it comes down to it. The original six movies made big bank and spawned a huge craze, creating many imitators in the process. None of them managed to nail down the space opera formula quite like Lucas and co., though.
We actually already asked you this, but since Disney acquired the rights to all things Star Wars and are in the midst of releasing a third trilogy of movies and spin-offs which started with The Force Awakens, we have to ask you again. These damned corporations, it’s like they don’t care about the content longevity for geeky websites or something.
So, will you go with the widely recognised best Star Wars movie, or go for something out of left field? As it’s Star Wars Day, make your opinion heard and absolutely, definitively put an end to this debate once and for all.
Oh, until The Last Jedi comes out, of course.
