Soulcalibur VI Release Date And Collector’s Edition Announced

Soulcalibur VI

Bandai Namco have finally announced the release date for their much anticipated fighting game Soulcalibur VI. The Tale of Souls and Swords will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC from October 19th 2018, which seems to be the closest anyone has gotten so far to Red Dead Redemption 2’s 26th October release date. Bandai Namco clearly aren’t afraid of what will probably be the biggest game of this year.

Anyway, the release date announcement comes with a new trailer that appears to give new information about the game’s story mode. One particular shot in the trailer shows all the announced characters and a timeline of a events that goes from 1583 to 1586 and beyond. It seems like newcomer Groh has a lot of events early on, so he’s going to be an important character going forward. The trailer also gives us a glimpse at what appears to be a redesigned Inferno. Check it out for yourself.

The end of the trailer also gives us confirmation of a Collector’s Edition for Soulcalibur VI, which will include the base game, a season pass, a digital version of the game’s soundtrack and a 35cm statue of series mainstay Sophitia.
