SNK’s Haohmaru Gets Soulcalibur VI Gameplay Trailer

Haohmaru vs Mitsurugi is the match-up we all wanted.

Haohmaru

During EVO Japan 2020, which took place over the weekend, a gameplay trailer emerged for Soulcalibur VI‘s upcoming DLC character Haohmaru, who you might know as the poster boy for SNK’s Samurai Shodown series. Check out the debut trailer below.

Haohmaru was revealed to be a guest character in Soulcalibur VI’s second Season Pass back during EVO 2019, though said season pass has been slow to release content, with Hilde only dropping back in November. The pass will also include two more unconfirmed characters.

As for the character himself, Haohmaru seems to have retained a lot of his moves from Samurai Shodown, similar to how Geese Howard and Akuma were adapted for Tekken 7. He will also come with a brand new arena based on his stage in Samurai Shodown (2019). No release date was given for when he’d be released, but we’re excited to see his Soulcalibur VI debut. What other guest characters do you have in mind for Soulcalibur VI? Let us know.
