Skater XL Available Today On PC, PS4 & Xbox One

Try not to bail on this one.

Skater XL

If you’re looking for a skateboarding game to tide you over until Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 launches in September, Skater XL might be the game for you, as it leaves Early Access today for PC, while also launching on PS4 and Xbox One. A Switch release is planned, but has been pushed back to later in 2020.

Skater XL fancies itself as the ultimate skateboarding game, with unique controls and physics designed to give you unparalleled control over your skateboard. As you might have guessed, Skater XL models itself more on the realism exhibited in the Skate series than the long combo bonanza that is Tony Hawk’s.

Skater XL features a variety of maps based on real world locations, including downtown LA, Grant Park Chicago and more, along with the Big Ramp map that’s seemingly based on Bob Burnquist’s Megaramp. On top of that, three community created maps will also be bundled into the full game at no extra cost.

Skater XL unlocks at 8 AM PST/4 PM BST on Steam and other storefronts.
