Shapeshifting Human Ben Kingsley to Play Notorious Nazi Adolf Eichman

Deadline reported on Friday that the notorious shapeshifting being known as Ben Kingsley is going to play Adolf Eichmann, one of the key architects of the Holocaust, and the man who organized the transport of millions of Jewish people to ghettos and extermination camps.

One can’t help but smile when they think of a hate-filled Nazi being played by a man of Indian descent. Hopefully, the bastard is rolling around in his grave right about now. Of course, because his mother was British, Kingsley has no trouble passing for a variety of ethnicities. Perhaps most famously, he played the title role in Richard Attenborough’s Gandhi. He also played Oskar Schindler’s Jewish secretary Itzhak Stern in Schindler’s List.

The movie, titled Operation Finale also stars Oscar Isaac as a Mossad agent who leads a group determined to capture Eichmann in his hideout in Argentina and prosecute him for war crimes in Israel. It will start shooting in the fall.

Helmed by Chris Weitz, who co-wrote Star Wars: Rogue One and directed such classics as Twilight: New Moon and About a Boy, Operation Finale is being described as a thriller in the Argo mold.

Will this movie be any good? Who the hell knows. It’s certainly going to be Oscar-bait, so MGM is probably going to put their best effort into the thing. Here’s hoping that Weitz, who wrote the screenplay for Nutty Professor II: The Klumps, is up to the task.
