Run Your Own Arcade With Arcade Tycoon This Summer

Who said arcades are dead?

Arcade Tycoon

Ever wanted to run your own arcade but think you might have missed your chance now that these establishments are becoming increasingly hard to find? Thanks to the team over at Vincent King Studios, you’ll be able to do just that in video game form in the upcoming simulator Arcade Tycoon. The game is due to enter Early Access on Steam from August 22nd with a price of £14.99.

As you might expect, players will be able to customise their arcades with a wide variety of different games, ranging from classic shooters to modern day virtual reality titles. Good looking decorations and an efficient layout will also be important to getting the most out of customers, as will happy staff who will have to be managed carefully.

The life of an arcade owner isn’t all fun and games though. Keeping an eye out for any accidents or criminal activity will be key to creating a successful business. In essence it is the arcade equivalent of RollerCoaster Tycoon.

The game has been in development for several years and had a successful Kickstarter campaign back in April. The developers were able to double their original funding goal, receiving more than £2,700 in pledges. Thanks to those backers, Arcade Tycoon will feature 16 campaign levels as well as a Sandbox Mode. Those wanting to find out more can visit Arcade Tycoon’s official website or head over to the Steam page where you can add it to your wishlist.
