Get it? Because you fuse songs?

Harmonix, the creators of games like Rock Band and Dance Central, have revealed their latest project. It’s a virtual music festival called Fuser, where you control the music, and it sounds weird, but in the best way possible. Check out the announcement trailer below.

The announcement trailer gives a good indication of what you can expect from the game, as the music blends together influences such as Blue Oyster Cult and Billie Eilish. (Don’t Fear) The Bad Guy is my working title. Essentially, players will mix together a host of different songs to create their own unique mix. You can work together with friends, and can even share your creations with the world. If you’d like to see the game in action, IGN have published a 3 minute video showcasing what you can accomplish with the game.

Harmonix’s usual fare usually see you following along to the art that someone else has created, so to provide a game that allows players to put their own spin on that art seems like a winning move. Hopefully, we’ll see the song’s library expand over the time, but for now, we’re excited about the game’s future. Fuser will be available during Fall 2020 on PS4, Xbox One, PC and the Nintendo Switch. Are you excited? Sound off in the comments.
