Resident Evil Village: Giant Crystal Axe & Father Nichola’s Angel (Cannibal’s Plunder)

A twofer.

Giant Crystal Axe and Father Nichola’s Angel are two treasures in Resident Evil Village that are available in Otto’s Mill after defeating the mini-boss.

Otto’s Mill is reachable on your way towards the Stronghold, which comes after defeating Moreau. Instead of going up the stairs at the behest of Heisenberg’s sign, hang a left and walk up the path until you reach the mill.

Inside you will find a giant, who is either Otto himself or the Cannibal — the game doesn’t make it entirely clear. As long as you keep your distance and use explosives (you should have the GM 79 Grenade Launcher by now), it’s a relatively simple fight. Keep using the stairs to escape the mini-boss and try not to get weirded out by him being carried around by the flying Samcas and you should be able to defeat him.

He will drop the Giant Crystal Axe once defeated, which is worth a whopping 30000 Lei, making it one of the most valuable treasures in the game.

Make your way through one of the open doors and then follow the map below until you come across Cannibal’s Plunder, which is where you will find Father Nichola’s Angel.

“Antique angel statue that was treasured by Nichola, one of the four founders.”

Father Nichola’s Angel is another item like the Guglielmo’s Plate that was treasured by the founders. It can be sold to the Duke for a decent 22000 Lei.

Neither of these items serve any purpose other than to be sold, so don’t worry about selling them to the Duke at the earliest opportunity.

Resident Evil Village is available now for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, and Xbox One.
