Rumours of an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription have existed for a while now, but it seems like they’ll be coming into fruition soon enough. Twitter user h0x0d reported before the weekend that Xbox will launch a new subscription service called Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which will combine Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold for a reduced price of $15, meaning users who are monthly subscribers to both services can save around $5.

User h0x0d goes further to say that Xbox Insiders will be able to trial Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for a reduced price of $1 a month, which will last until the service goes live for everyone. The Verge corroborated this story, with their source also stating that Microsoft will announce this service alongside the disc-less Xbox One S All-Digital Edition later this month.

With Microsoft’s well documented move into game streaming with xCloud, along with the already reported on disc-less Xbox One S, the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription seems like the right move for Microsoft, and it should offer some savings for those dedicated Xbox players.
