Reports emerged overnight to suggest that Remedy are finally pulling the trigger and will be working with Epic Games to release Alan Wake 2. The news comes from VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb, who revealed on his Twitch show that the Control developers would be moving in that direction in the future.

Remedy Are Working With Epic For Alan Wake 2?

Remedy signed a deal with Epic Games last year, which would allow the developer to create two unique games. One was described to be a huge, AAA game while the other was going to be set in the same universe, yet smaller in scale. Reportedly, at the time of this announcement, Alan Wake 2 was already in pre-production.

On top of working on the campaign for the upcoming CrossfireX, Remedy have been trying to create an established universe for a long time. Alan Wake was already revealed to be set in the same universe as Control with the AWE Expansion, and Remedy’s Sam Lake has confirmed that their upcoming projects will also take place in the same universe. It all seems to be lining up for Alan to make his big return.
