Before Summer Game Fest 2022, also known as “Not E3 Season”, one of the biggest rumours was that Rare would announce a new port of Goldeneye for Xbox platforms. That obviously didn’t come to pass, but if you’re really that disappointed about it, developer Replicant D6 has you covered, as they announced Agent 64: Spies Never Die, coming to PC via Steam Early Access in 2022. As you can clearly tell, Agent 64 wears its Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and TimeSplitters influences very clearly on its sleeve. As agent John Walter, you’ll enter a world of espionage across a series of levels that have various objectives, from hostage rescue to bomb defusal. While that’s exciting in its own right, especially if you love old school first person shooters, Replicant D6 also promises the ability to create and share your own campaigns, which should ensure there’s reasons to keep playing Agent 64 for a long time to come.
