Sure Sounds Like Rahul Kohli Voices The Origin In Fortnite

Fortnite: Chapter 3 – Season 2 is finally here after the rather fun but rather hefty Season 1, a season which also gave us a closer look at the members of The Seven. Season 2 brings along The Origin to team up with The Foundation, The Visitor and the rest of the gang, and it sounds like he, too, is voiced by a very familiar Hollywood name: Rahul Kohli.

Check out the leaked audio clip below for The Origin in Week 1 and make up your mind for yourself if it’s Kohli or not.

Anyone who’s watched The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass (you really should watch that, by the way), or iZombie will no doubt be familiar with Kohli’s distinct dulcet tones, and while it does raise questions about why he’s British and The Foundation is very much American, there’s still a whole lot of lore to fill in. Expect to find out the answer in seven comic books and twenty voice logs’ time. We do expect, though, that he’s some kind of relation to The Cube Queen, with a Loading Screen for Season 2 showing him with similar powers and transforming into his current form.

Kohli joins The Rock (The Foundation) and Joel McHale (The Visitor) as famous actors who have provided voice work for The Seven, as well as Troy Baker doing his thing as Jonesy. It’s quite the turnaround for a game that had barely a word of voice acting over the years, though this was explained away by the island having an adverse affect on its inhabitants.

Kohli is no stranger to voice acting in video games, having previously lent his talents to Rage 2 and Gears 5. He’s also a pretty big gamer himself, finding himself as enthralled and equally annoyed as the rest of us with Elden Ring.

He even appeared at a Celebrity Pro-Am tournament for Fortnite in 2018, which feels like it was 400 years ago now.

Funnily enough, Joel McHale has also taken part in a Celebrity Pro-Am. I’d pay good money to listen to Xavier Woods voicing stuff in Fortnite, if there’s a pattern here.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
