The PS5 will include music when on the main menu dashboard (known as the “Home Screen” for the new console) based on whichever game you’re hovering over. While neat, this might grow old very quickly for some people. Is there a way to turn off the Home Screen music on PS5?

Yes, luckily. Follow the simple steps below to turn off music on your PS5:

– Go to Settings (top right on the Home Screen, next to your avatar)
– Go to Sound > Audio Output
– Scroll down, select Home Screen Music. You can then toggle this option on or off, turning it back on whenever you like.

A very straightforward solution to what can sometimes become a very annoying feature. While it’s neat to have music from games playing in the background, leaving your console on idle can cause the music to just loop over and over again. As much as we all love Bugsnax, hearing its music constantly could very well drive us to madness.

If you want to make the most of your PlayStation 5 when it launches on November 12th, here are the games that will support 120 FPS as well as which PS4 games will give you free upgrades on PS5.
