PS4 Medievil Remake Trailer Arriving On Halloween

Medievil PS4

It’s been a long wait for fans of the least likely sir in all of gaming, but Sony have just announced some new info on the PS4 Medievil remake for the first time since it was announced.

Speaking on the PlayStation Blogcast, Shawn Layden confirmed that we will be seeing a new trailer for the game to coincide with Halloween on October 31st.

You can catch it in the embed below.

Layden also revealed that the remake will be based on the PS1 version of the game and not the PSP game as first thought. In addition, he revealed that Other Ocean Interactive, who have previously worked on a Rick & Morty VR game and Minecraft ports, will be handling the project.

While it’s not likely that we will be seeing the game this year as initially expected, it’s good to hear some news about it. After being unveiled with a 2018 release window, it’s gone dark ever since and missed coinciding with the anniversary of the original game earlier in October.

I’m personally very amped to see the Medievil remake in action. As a game that thoroughly terrified and delighted me as a child, I can’t wait to see what the modern version of it is like, especially as it will have the Sir Dan voice actor back on-board. If it’s anywhere near as good as the PS4 version of Shadow of the Colossus, we should be just fine.

Now, Sony: where’s that updated Dreams release date at?
