May God be with you.

With pre-orders opening today following the huge news that Microsoft has acquired Bethesda, it’s no surprise that it’s looking very hard to pre-order either the Xbox Series X or S in the UK. Retail stores are being given very few units to sell in-store, and it even looks like online retailers are struggling with demand.

Here’s everything you need (minus a prayer) to find an Xbox Series X or S in the UK with pre-orders now open.

Where Can I Buy The Xbox Series X and S?

The biggest sellers of the new Xboxes in the UK are Smyths, GAME, Argos and Amazon.

However, at this time of writing, GAME and Argos are the only places to get one. Neither Smyths nor Amazon are showing stock, but GAME is having some technical issues when going to checkout. I had the Series S in my basket, delivery and payment sorted, then it just 404’d.

So, Argos it is!

Best of luck.

Will They Get More Stock?

Almost certainly, yes. Based on how popular the PS5 pre-order window was, Xbox will likely make more available the closer we get to the November 10th release window. If you don’t get one today, don’t worry too much about it.

There will likely be other retailers that will get both consoles to sell down the line, so watch out for places like Base, ShopTo and The Game Collection.

How Much Are They?

The Series X will set you back £449.99 while the Series S costs £249.99.
