If you’ve been playing Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid since it launched around a month ago and thought it could do with a bit more additional content, nWay have you covered. A free update is going out on all platforms today that adds a new Story Mode, new characters and more stages, making the game a more complete experience.

The Story Mode is a retelling Shattered Grid storyline from the comic books and is written by Kyle Higgins. In this story, Lord Drakkon, an evil alternate version of Green Ranger Tommy Oliver, tries to eradicate every version of the Power Rangers across time and space, so it’s up to our heroes to kick his evil butt.

Interestingly, the Story Mode includes full voice acting from the original TV show actors, including Jason David Frank, who played Tommy Oliver, Austin St. John as Jason Lee Scott and David J. Fielding as Zordon. Longtime fans of the franchise should get a genuine kick out of this mode.

As for the other content, players will get access to four new stages; Corinth, Planet Earth: Cenozoic Era, Command Center (Malfunctioning) and Lord Drakkon’s Throne Room (Flashback), though the last two stages will only be available in Story Mode. The three new characters are Dragon Armor Trini, Udonna, and the Cenozoic Blue Ranger.

We reviewed Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid, and found the lack of content to be a bit of sticking point, so a significant content update like this is music to our ears. Will you be playing Power Rangers from today? Let us know in the comments.
