Pokemon Go Ultra Unlocks

Pokémon GO players hit all the required targets during GO Fest weekend in order to trigger the Ultra Unlocks. Part one is just coming to an end and Part two is about to begin, which has seen the introduction of a number of different shinies, including Dialga and Palkia. Part 3 was kept a secret until now, and sees the exciting introduction of Pokémon from the Galar region, including the Sword and Shield box legendaries, Zacian and Zamazenta.

Here’s everything you need to know about part 3 of Pokémon GO’s Ultra Unlocks.

Event Start and End Times

Ultra Unlock part 3 begins on August 20th at 10am and runs until August 31st at 9pm local time. This includes a Zacian raid hour on August 25th from 6-7pm (local time) and a Zamazenta raid hour on August 30th from 6-7pm (local time).

Wild Spawns

The featured spawns for the event will be largely based around Pokémon from the Galar region, with Wooloo and Skwovet both making an appearance. You will also be able to evolve both of these to their respective evolutions, with Wooloo evolving into Dubwool and Skwovet evolving into Greedent. Falinks will also be making its debut as the last featured Galar Pokémon, but these spawns will also be joined by Trubbish, which can be shiny, as well as Galarian Darumaka.

Raids

The first and second week of this event will have different Pokémon in raids.

Week 1

– Unown, Galarian Slowpoke, Galarian Farfetch’d and Galarian Zigzagoon in tier one
– Galarian Weezing, Falinks and Lapras in tier three
– The debut of Zacian in tier five. Zacian will be in its Hero of Many Battles form, which is the equivalent of not holding the Sword item from Pokémon Sword.
– Beedrill will also be featured in Mega Raids.

Week 2

– Unown, Galarian Meowth, Galarian Ponyta and Galarian Darumaka in tier one
– Galarian Stunfisk, Falinks and Snorlax in tier three

– Pidgeot will also be featured in Mega Raids.

New Shiny Pokémon

As with most Pokémon GO events, the introduction of some new shiny Pokémon to hunt makes things that little bit more exciting. The event will give you the chance to catch shiny Galarian Stunfisk, shiny Galarian Weezing, shiny Galarian Farfetch’d and shiny Galarian Meowth for the first time. The Galarian forms of Farfetch’d and Meowth can also be evolved into shiny Perrserker and Sirfetch’d, giving you a total of six brand new shinies for this event.

There will also be special Timed Research as well as Field Research tasks that will give you the opportunity to encounter the newly released Galar Pokémon as well.

Pokémon GO is available now for iOS and Android.
