Fresh off the announcement of The Wonderful 101 Remastered Kickstarter and the recent release of the brilliant Bayonetta & Vanquish 10th Anniversary Bundle, PlatinumGames look set to make another huge announcement soon.
The announcement will be made in next week’s edition of the Japanese magazine Famitsu, as Gematsu are reporting that the mag dropped hints of the announcement in this week’s issue. While the type of announcement we’ll get is unknown at the moment, it’ll likely form part of Platinum’s “Platinum 4” initiative.
The Platinum 4 marketing campaign will see PlatinumGames reveal four project that they’re working on in the coming weeks and months, with the first being the recently announced The Wonderful 101 Remastered Kickstarter. The Kickstarter is closing to breaching the $1.7 million threshold, with a stretch goal of $2 million unlocking Luka’s Second Mission, another spin-off involving the mischief maker Luka. Luka’s First Mission was achieved at $1.5 million, while $1.75 million will unlock a remix soundtrack with a secret special guest.
