Plants Vs Zombies: Battle For Neighborville Announced, Available Now Via Founder’s Edition

Get in now before launch.

Plants vs Zombies

One of the worst kept secrets in gaming has finally be revealed, as Plants vs Zombies: Battle For Neighborville has finally be revealed by EA and Popcap, launching on PS4, Xbox One and PC on October 18th, and you can check out the debut trailer right here.

Battle for Neighborville adds 6 brand new character classes, including the Snapdragon and Night Cap for the Plants, along with 80’s Action Hero and Electric Slide for the Zombies. Players can also utilise team units, with multiple players combining for the Oak and Acorn Plant character or the Space Cadet Zombie unit. These team units are powerful, but you can take down multiple players if you eliminate one. Meanwhile, all 14 previously used classes are returning in Battle for Neighborville.

The content expansion doesn’t end there, as Neighborville adds 3 new free roaming areas with their own quests to complete and secrets to find, a brand new social space, a host of customisation options, 6 PvP mode and a PvE Ops Mode. It’s safe to say this might be the most content rich Plants vs Zombies shooter yet.

And the best part is that you don’t have to wait until October to get involved. A special Founder’s Edition has popped up on digital marketplaces, and players can start playing the game right now for a discounted price. The Founder’s Edition will see features that comprise the main game being added over the next six weeks, but you’ll be able to carry on all your progress into the fully launched game.

Considering that the Founder’s Edition is £24.99/$29.99 when compared to the Standard Edition’s £34.99/$39.99, and you’ll be able to enjoy the Standard Edition content at no additional cost, it makes sense to get involved now, but be quick, as the Founder’s Edition will disappear on September 30th. Meanwhile, EA Access subscribers will still enjoy the 10% discount on purchases, while the Founder’s Edition is included in Origin Access Premier. For more details, check out the official website.
