If you, like the vast majority of the internet it seems, weren’t all that enthused about the Diablo: Immortal news, the team over at Grinding Gear Games are on hand to save the day. They have announced that their free-to-play ARPG Path of Exile will finally be available on the PS4 starting from next month.
The Diablo II inspired RPG has been available on PC for a while now, with an Xbox One port getting a release last year. The PS4 version coincides with the upcoming Patch 3.5.0, which will launch simultaneously on all platforms.
For a free-to-play title, there are few out there as deep and absorbing as Path of Exile, with intricate skill trees, a wealth of content and no scummy pay-to-win tactics despite being a free game. It’s no wonder that Path of Exile enjoys a 16 million strong player base, and why it’s sure to increase when it launches on PS4 next month.
