No Man’s Sky Launching On July 24th For Xbox One, Includes Multiplayer

No Man's Sky

Hello Games announced on last night’s episode of Inside Xbox that No Man’s Sky will be launching on the Xbox One on July 24th (July 27th in Europe), and that it’ll bring with it a new multiplayer update that’ll go live on PS4 and PC on the same day.

The multiplayer forms part of the big Next update that Hello Games have been teasing since the Xbox One announcement in March. Not much else has been shared about the Next update, but it’s good to know that we’ll be able to share it with friends. Just by adding proper multiplayer, the universe should immediately feel less empty, and that’s without taking into consideration the improvements that have been made to the overall content since launch.

When talking about the Next update on the Inside Xbox stream, Sean Murray, Hello Games co-founder, said: “It’s the kind of game that myself and a lot of other people have always wanted to play in a multiplayer world.”
