No Man’s Sky Receiving Free PS5 & Xbox Series X|S Update At Launch

Worlds apart.

No Man's Sky

Hello Games have announced that No Man’s Sky will be receiving a free next-gen update for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The news was announced via a trailer you can check out for yourselves above.

What’s Special About This New Update?

One of the main benefits is that’ll allow players to experience No Man’s Sky in 4K/60fps if you’re playing on Xbox Series X or PS5. The Series S version will have to choose between a high resolution mode at 30fps, or a high performance mode at 60fps.

On top of that, the update will improve lighting, textures and animation, and reduce loading times. Best of all though, the multiplayer will also be increased to 32 players, meaning the galaxy should be a heck of a lot more populated. If you’re already playing No Man’s Sky, you can even transfer your save over to the next-gen version and pick up where you left off.
