No, Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy On PC Wasn’t Confirmed By A Rep

Here’s the best case of “reading between the lines to come to the wrong conclusion” I’ve heard in quite some time. It’s actually so wrong that I am about 70% sure the website that “covered” the rumour started it themselves for a few clicks.

I’m being that guy.

ThisGenGaming, a website with more intrusive adverts than a shop window from the eighties, reported that a rep at PAX East confirmed Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy would be coming to PC at 60fps. They quickly back off their confirmation at the end of the “article”, stating that it could just be a rumour. Fair enough.

If you have a pair of ears, listen to the video below and see if you hear what they heard.

At 23 seconds in, the rep starts talking about Bulletstorm, not Crash, being on PC. Both games were shown at the conference, and the rep is talking about pre-orders. Furthermore, the rep’s info aligns with the stuff discussed in the video below that’s about Duke’s inclusion in Bulletstorm.

While Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy coming to PC isn’t totally unrealistic, it would mean that Sony’s song and dance about their returning mascot at E3 2016 would be a lot less meaningful. It may yet come to PC as the game seems to be a timed exclusive, but until someone officially confirms it, stop giving sites like these advertising revenue.

UPDATE 14/03/17: The headline has been changed for clarity from “No, Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy Isn’t Coming To PC”
