Nintendo Could Be Hosting A Surprise Direct This Week

Farewell, Reggie.

Nintendo Direct

A new report from GamingIntel suggests that Nintendo could be hosting a new Nintendo Direct stream this Thursday, April 11th, though no specific time or focus for the stream has been outlined.

Some possible games that could appear during this proposed include Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, specifically DLC character Joker and maybe the next DLC character, along with the rumoured Metroid Prime Trilogy. There’s also the possibility of footage for the new Animal Crossing, Bayonetta 3 and Luigi’s Mansion 3. Is it still foolish to hope for anything related to F-Zero?

Destructoid also theorise that this rumoured Direct could be used as a fond farewell to Reggie Fils-Amie, current president of Nintendo of America, who will be retiring on April 15th, with Doug Bowser set to take charge. Though we hope Nintendo will have plenty of games to showcase, it’d be heartwarming to see Reggie get the love he deserves after years of incredible service.
