Narcos

Curve Digital and Kuju have revealed two new trailers for Narcos: Rise of the Cartels, a turn-based strategy game based on the award winning Netflix series scheduled to launch digitally in late 2019 on PS4, Xbox One, PC and the Nintendo Switch. The trailers in question want you to pick a side, so do you pick the Narcos or the DEA?

In Rise of the Cartels, you can control either side of the conflict, choosing to the expand or topple Pablo Escobar’s criminal empire. Players will relive the events of the first season, working alongside various characters like El Mexicano, Murphy, Peña, Primo and many more, with each character offering their own unique perks and abilities.

Battles will work in a style similar to XCOM, though units on both side will be able to move simultaneously, and players will be able to take third person command over their units during certain critical moments. It’ll be interesting to see how well Narcos: Rise of the Cartels lives up to the name of the the iconic show, but also how well it holds up as a strategy game.
