Anyone else felt like the wait from Monday has been horrendous? Never fear, Rockstar is finally here with the new trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2 and, as you would expect, they’ve knocked it out of the park. Check it out below.
Unlike the previous trailers which were lots of shots of a beautiful landscape and some occasional shooting, this trailer gives us more of an idea of the story. Like the original Red Dead Redemption, RDR 2 takes place in a Wild West on the brink of extinction, as lawmen seek to wipe out the last of the outlaw gangs.
Playing as Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van Der Linde gang helmed by Dutch, you must make your way across America’s heartland, pursued by bounty hunters and federal agents after a bank robbery went south. Of course, tensions rise within the group, and Arthur has to choose between his loyalty to Dutch and the gang, or his own ideals.
The new trailer gives us a fair bit of action and the trademark Rockstar dialogue, but never mind all that crap though, JOHN MARSTON IS BACK. We still haven’t had enough time to grieve over the ending to the original Red Dead Redemption, so we’re certainly not ready to see our old friend again. John, we’ve missed you.
