You’d have probably expected it to be honest, but yes, Square Enix have confirmed that we’ll be receiving more Final Fantasy 7 Remake footage from Tokyo Game Show this weekend. TGS takes place from September 12th to September 15th, though it’s unclear when in that timeframe the trailer will be revealed, so keep your eyes peeled for the latter half of the week. Either way, here’s game director Tetsuya Nomura confirming the new trailer on Twitter.
"We haven't revealed anything about #FF7R for a while, but will soon be unveiling a new trailer to go with #TGS2019, being held from the 12th of September." – Tetsuya Nomura
The last bit of information we saw of the game was three months ago during E3 2019, which showcased the redesigned characters, the new approach to the game’s combat and a whole lot of Midgar. With the Remake still set to be an episodic game, it’ll be interesting to see what Square Enix have to showcase at TGS.
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is scheduled to launch on March 3rd for PS4, and will be among a number of games scheduled to appear at Tokyo Game Show 2019, including Capcom’s Project Resistance. Are you excited to return to Cloud’s story? Sound off in the comments.
