New Dragon Ball FighterZ Trailer Shows Fused Zamasu In Action

Dragon Ball FighterZ

A new trailer has been released showcasing the latest DLC character that’ll be coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ. Please welcome Fused Zamasu, the combination of Goku Black and Zamasu, who was the main antagonist of the Future Trunks arc of Dragon Ball Super.

According to the description of the video, which you can check out for yourself below, Fused Zamasu utilises his unlimited power, which “allows him to float in the air after his attacks and to move in any direction, making him a unique character to control.” This should give the character some of the most unique movement options in the game.

The trailer also shows off some of his super and Ultimate moves, with the last one summoning annihilation from above. He is a god, after all. Fused Zamasu will be available as a stand-alone character, and as part of the FighterZ pass, which will also give you access to Broly, Bardock and 5 as yet unannounced characters.

We reviewed Dragon Ball FighterZ back when it came out in January, and although we had some issues with the lack of content and anemic story mode, we were suitably impressed with the quality of the gameplay, and the amount of love shown for the lore of the series:

Despite some single player shortcomings, Dragon Ball FighterZ really comes into its element once you take the game online and start battering your friends. Or just some random lobby dwellers. For Dragon Ball fans, this is a love letter to the franchise. For fighting game fans, this is the definitive Tag fighter that Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite should have been.

Are you excited for Fused Zamasu coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ, or have you moved on from the game? Sound off in the comments below, and check out the newly announced 11-11: Memories Retold, which is also being published by Bandai Namco.
